The Best and Optimal Way to Lose Your Body Fat

People have tried many different diets to lose body fat and reaching better health. Indeed, all high-profile studies about these diets done over the years indicate to us that at the first stage all diets work but after a while, all diets fail. In other words, any diets whether it’s the Atkins, the Mediterranean, low fat and the like seem to produce results in the short term but fail in the long term.

Losing body fat plateaus by 6 to 12 months in any diet. 

Of course, the amount of weight you lose as body fat differs by following a diet. Some produce a little more, some little and some even a little less. By following any diet, after 6 to 12 months, body fat loss plateaus. (The 6-to-12 month duration is what the findings of dietary studies indicate. (Indeed, as a life and health coach, I’ve noticed that losing body fat by following any diets plateaus even in a month.) Even worse than this, despite in compliance with the diet guidelines, the plateaus followed by a relentless regain. 

Insulin doesn’t let you lose your body fat!

Insulin is the cause of make you fat. To put it another way, insulin doesn’t let you lose your body fat and it won’t matter whether you have willpower, being physically active, or eating less. High insulin secretion has long been associated with obesity and excessive body fat. Indeed, a person who carries more fat has a much higher level of insulin secretion in comparison with those who have less body fat or normal weight. Not only high insulin secretion but also insulin level doesn’t return quickly to baseline after a meal in those who have more body fat. There is also a direct connection between high fasting insulin levels (measuring insulin levels after an overnight fast) and those who have more body fat. 

High insulin levels cause weight gain and food choices play a role in raising insulin levels. As a result, high insulin levels cause insulin resistance syndrome or metabolic syndrome. Indeed, insulin resistance is the hidden force behind most of the medical conditions such as obesity, high blood pressure, diabetes, Alzheimer’s diseases, heart diseases, cancer, fatty liver, and high cholesterol. 

Bringing down the levels of insulin plays a significant role in your losing body fat. Exercising more or being physically active and also calorie reduction in your meal plan don’t work in the long term. So what should you do to lower the insulin levels after and during a meal plan? This is the question I want to answer as a life and health coach, here. 

The best and healthier way to Lose Your Body Fat!

Instead of searching for different methods, diets and even drugs, focus only on a true ancient healing tradition – Intermittent Fasting. The optimal and healthiest way for losing your body fat is Fasting. Whenever I talk to my clients about fasting, the first thing comes to their minds is starvation. They think that fasting is starvation, but it’s not. 

Intermittent fasting is a kind of fasting that periods of fasting occur regularly between periods of normal eating. The duration of each period (fasting and eating) can vary widely and depends upon some factors. Thare are many different fasting protocols that one of them may work for you the best, not all. 

Special Considerations before doing Intermittent Fasting!

Fasting is one of the oldest treatment in human history. It’s been part of the practice of almost every culture on our earth. Fasting is really helpful for losing body fat. But still, before doing intermittent fasting, you have to consider the following. 

  1. Before doing fasting, you have to follow a healthy and balanced meal plan, otherwise, fasting just makes you weak and there will not be any health benefits. It will be torching yourself if you don’t follow a healthy and balanced food plan before starting to do fasting and also during the fasting and eating days. 
  2. If you have any medical conditions and taking medicines, you must talk to your doctor before doing intermittent fasting. 
  3. You must not do fasting if you are severely malnourished or underweight. 
  4. If you are a pregnant or breastfeeding woman, and a child under eighteen years of age, you shouldn’t fast if you have not got permission from a doctor. 
  5. In the case of a long period of fasting, you may need some supplements. 

The Bottom Line about Your Health 

Carrying excessive body fat is a health issue. As mentioned above, insulin resistance plays a major role in gaining body fat (fat and muscles), but there might also be some other causes associated with your excess body fat. Understanding and tackling theses causes are important to lose your excess body fat. The so-called stress plays an important part in your life and health.

Seeking joyfulness within you, eating well, and also, physically active are the best things you can do in your whole life. Meanwhile, intermittent fasting may not be a good thing for everybody, but it has many health benefits if it is done with proper understanding.
